Dockyards

A happy discovery

It’s sometimes really useful and surprising to have a clear up in the workshop. I was doing just that and came across some photographs I’d taken back in the 90’s of Southampton Docks. I’d worked on a creative project with a secondary school in the city and we were lucky enough to get access to the working docks (not something you can do nowadays) I’d taken loads of photographs and decided to use them as inspiration for a new series of work.

Materials and Techniques

Having just got back into making collages, I decided this subject matter would lend itself really well to Print/Collage. These are unique pieces that I construct from old prints of mine or specially produced new prints. Combined with collage papers that I have collected over the years.
