We will be opening up the workshop this summer for Open Studios. Come and visit this working print studio to see bold, limited-edition and unique artworks. Original prints inspired by the built environment by Sarah Mander and evocative linocuts of rural scenes by Eddie Curtis.
We are venue 243 in the Hampshire Open Studios brochure.

In addition to our studio, The Arches Artist’s Studios are also opening for this event.

There is Free Admission to this event, Hillier’s cafe & visitor centre, free parking (normal charges apply to visit the gardens).

State of Flux an exhibition by The Five

My next exhibition  – State Of Flux is with The Five at The HorseBridge, Horsebridge Arts Centre, Whitstable, Kent in June. 
The group; Sinclair Ashman, Sarah Mander, Kay Senior, Consuelo Simpson and Sally Tyrie will be exhibiting this multi-disciplinary show of prints, sculpture, reliefs, objects and installations.

There will be a ‘Meet the Artists’ event on Sunday 8th June between 12.00 and 3pm.
All are welcome!

The show will run from 4th – 16th June 2025. Horsebridge is open 9am – 5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and 10am – 4pm on Sundays (closed on Tuesdays).

Ali Yanya will be back in Southampton in April to run his very popular Mezzotint course for me.

Those who have been on Ali’s courses will know how interesting, inspiring and full of useful advice and tips his courses are.

Thank you so much for this weekend. I can’t think of anything that would improve it. It was an informative workshop where I learnt new skills and just watching and listening to Ali was so inspirational.  (Kathy 2024)

This course will be a combination of demonstrations by Ali of using burnishers and other tools to create a Mezzotint image. The course also includes mezzotint plate inking and printing.

Mezzotint plates and all materials will be provided in the course fee of £220

I’m back at West Dean college in March to run an introduction to Etching course. This is for anyone new to etching or in need of a refresher, this will be an enjoyable introduction to etching. I will introduce methods of working to create imagery using both line etching and tonal etching techniques. We will be working with aluminium plates and using copper sulphate to etch.

It has been a personal goal of mine to put together a print and ceramics exhibition. I’ve developed an interest in the similarities between the two disciplines and wanted to curate an exhibition where the works have a definite dialogue with each other.

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost a year since our initial meeting at Oxmarket Contemporary to discuss the exhibition. And now it’s here.
Visitors will see and be able to purchase original works by 16 Printmakers and 21 ceramicists from the south.

I’m delighted to have been asked to take part in the Small Wonders Mini Print exhibition with Omega Printmakers. This exhibition, hosted by Jack House Gallery in Old Portsmouth, will be a great opportunity to see the impact that images can have on a small scale.

I’ll be opening my studio again this year during Open Studios. I’ve been working on some ‘site specific’ prints related to Southampton Docks using some of my photography and recreating them as prints using Photo Transfer techniques. This event will be the first time that this work will be on display.

Winchester Print Fair is coming up very soon and I’ve been busy getting my prints ready. It’s the first outing for a lot of my new work and I’ll be interested to see how it goes down. I’ll be on the ground floor of this two-floor event, so you can’t miss me.
There will be 25 Printmakers showing their wares so there will be plenty to see. If you are in the area, do come along and see my work and say hello.
